Thomas & Caldwell Open 2026 Georgia PGA Season with Pro-Pro Scramble Victory

The 2026 Georgia PGA Tournament season got underway on Tuesday, March 10 at The River Club, as Professionals from across the section gathered for the annual Club Car Pro-Pro Scramble.

Leading the way were Chad Thomas, PGA Assistant Professional at West Pines Golf Club, and Zach Caldwell, Associate Professional at Bridgemill Athletic Club, who turned in a dominant performance. The duo carded an impressive 14-under-par round, finishing six strokes clear of the field to capture the title and open the season in style.

Thomas entered the week with momentum, coming off a victory in the Assistants Division the week prior at Windermere Golf Club. “We’ve got to thank the Georgia PGA staff for putting on a great event and The River Club for hosting,” said Thomas. “We had a blast out there and thankfully were able to make our fair share of putts throughout the day.”

The event marked a strong start to what promises to be another exciting year of competition across the Georgia PGA.

The schedule continues on May 11 with the E-Z-GO Pro-President-Super-Club Official at Green Island Country Club.
