Brandon Stooksbury, PGA Head Professional at Idle Hour Club in Macon was elected the 26th President of the Georgia Section, PGA of America on Monday, March 16, 2020 by a unanimous vote of the Georgia PGA Board of Directors.

Stooksbury has been on the Board of Directors for the last six years and has served on the Executive Committee for the past four years.  He is a native of Tennessee and is a best-selling author of his book The Wedge Book published in 2015.  Stooksbury was mentored under the watchful eye of PGA of America and Georgia Golf Hall of Fame member, Ray Cutright, who is a past president of the Georgia PGA.

Brian Conley, PGA General Manager at Bobby Jones Golf Course was elected as the Vice President of the Georgia Section.  Conley has been on the Executive Committee for the past two years as the Secretary.  John Godwin, PGA from U.S. Kids Golf in Norcross, moves into the Honorary President position.  Godwin has served on the Executive Committee for the past six years.
