The 2024 Georgia PGA tournament season kicked off on Monday, March 18th at Rivermont Golf Club in Johns Creek with the Club Car Pro-Pro Scramble presented by Anderson Ord, Bridgestone Golf, Fire Maker Brewery, GT Golf Supplies, Oars & Alps, PTE Golf, SCNS Sport Foods & StickX Golf.
The field of 60, two-person teams, battled windy and brisk conditions in the scramble format, but at the end of the day 11-under par was good enough to get you into a three-way playoff. Coming out on top in the one-hole playoff was Teaching PGA of America Golf Professional, Peter Jones and PGA Associate, Nix Duncan of Cherokee Town & Country Club in Atlanta. The team received a check for $2,400 for their efforts along with the hardware.
The two other teams in the playoff were PGA of America Head Golf Professional, Ryan Joyce and PGA Associate, Jon Parker of Hawks Ridge Golf Club in Ball Ground and PGA of America Life Member, James Mason and PGA Associate of Cherokee Town & Country Club, Hunter Suggs.
