The 2024 edition of the Georgia PGA Junior Championship will be played at Doublegate Country Club in Albany, GA on June 4-6. This 54-hole tournament will feature 156 of Georgia’s best junior golfers. The field will cut to the low 70 players after 36-holes, based on division field sizes.
Nestled between towering oaks and pines, Doublegate’s 18 hole, par 72 championship golf course offers a challenging round of golf. Doublegate’s 12 dog-leg holes and ultra dwarf bermuda (Champion) greens present the golfer a unique experience. The PGA of America Head Golf Professional, TJ King and the Club are excited to showcase their club and town to the juniors and their families.
The boy and girl champion and runner-up will have the opportunity to join 312 of the nation’s top male & female junior golfers in the PGA of America’s premium junior event, the 48th Junior PGA Championship, hosted at Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland. In addition to the 2036 Ryder Cup, Congressional Country Club will host four Major Championships over the next two decades including the 2027 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, 2025 and 2033 KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship, and 2030 PGA Championship. The 48th Junior PGA Championship will be held from July 30 – August 2, 2024.
The Junior PGA Championship is where some of the best in the world get their start. Many of today’s PGA Tour professionals made their debut at the Championship. Each of the 41 PGA of America Sections will receive four invitations.
Players must be eighteen (18) years of age or younger on the final day of the Championship (August 2, 2024).
