The Georgia Putting Championship presented by Sweetens Cove sold out in its 2nd year! The Championship was held at Bobby Jones Golf Course on the Dan Yates Putting Course on October 30th.
Georgia PGA Member, Jon Cooley and Georgia PGA Executive Director, Scott Geary, defended their title by winning the Team Division in the two 9-hole round alternate shot format.
Winning the Individual Championship was Andrew Weis of Atlanta. The format consisted of two 9-hole rounds around the Dan Yates Putting Course at Bobby Jones Golf Course. This was a collaborative event between the tenants of Murray Golf House at Bobby Jones Golf Course, Georgia PGA, and the Georgia State Golf Association. The championship included a professional flight that saw eight Georgia PGA Members & Associates compete for the $1,750 purse. Ted Fort, PGA defeated Josh Deal, PGA to claim the $1,000 payday. Deal earned $500 for his 2nd place finish and coming in 3rd for the professional purse was Tanner Farr earning $250 for his efforts.
