The team of PGA Assistant Professional Anthony Cordes and PGA Associate Nix Duncan, both of Cherokee Town and Country Club fired rounds of 64 and 63 for a two-day total of 15-under par to capture the Traynor Golf Collection/E-Z-GO Pro-Pro Championship presented by Global Golf Sales, Golf Pro Payments, Signature Golf, Evolve Golf, Golf Sign and Design, L.A.B. Golf, BIOLYTE and John Walters Golf. Cordes and Duncan also won the Global Golf Sales Shootout after the first round of play. The yearly event is contested at the Sea Island Golf Club’s famed Seaside and Plantation courses. The duo fired an 9-under par 63 on the Plantation Course in the final round to take the championship by one stroke over the record breaking field of 220 players.
In the Senior Division, PGA Director of Golf Phil Taylor of Ansley Golf Club and PGA Director of Golf Bill Connally of Glen Arven Country Club carded a two-round total of 14-under par.
In the Super Senior division, Bill Johnstone and Dean Alexander claimed the championship at a two-round total of 9-under par.
