Amateur, Jack Larkin from Atlanta comes from behind to claim the Yamaha Georgia Senior Open title presented by Wilson Golf. The 40th playing of the tournament took place at Sea Palms Resort in St. Simons Island this week. After recording a 3-under par 68 in round one, Larkin sat in fourth place trailing the 2022 U.S. Senior Runner-Up, Doug Hanzel of Savannah, by three. Larkin fired a second-round score of 4-under par 67 to finish at 7-under par 135 to defeat Assistant PGA Professional Richard Rebne from The Farm Golf Club, by one. Hanzel carded a 1-over par 72 in his final round to finish in solo third at 5-under par 137. Rebne received low professional honors and for his efforts earned $2,250.
The 2020 and 2021 champion, PGA Life Member, Paul Claxton, finished tied for eighth, with rounds of 72-68, 2-under 140.
