Full Bio
Michael Rakowski joined the Georgia PGA staff in May of 2018 as the Junior Golf Director. Rakowski joined the Section following a rich career in the golf industry. Rakowski has held jobs in golf administration in 4 different states. He was most recently the Junior Golf Manager for the Georgia State Golf Association. Rakowski has taken the Georgia PGA Junior Tour to new heights since his hiring, seeing participation numbers soar over the last several years. Also fluent in graphic design, Rakowski has helped the Section promote the game of golf through their website and social media outlets. The Eaton Rapids, Michigan native graduated from Central Michigan University in 2008 where he majored in Sport Management.
In his free time, Michael enjoys playing golf, working on cars and other house projects, spending time with family, and cheering on the Michigan State Spartans and Green Bay Packers. Rakowski is married to the former Jaime Lidster of London, Ontario, Can., and they have two daughters, Kaylin and Sophie.

– Has only 9.5 toes due to a dirt-bike accident.
