PGA Teaching Professional Jacob Tilton of Ansley Golf Club wins the 6th Milton Martin Honda Classic at Chattahoochee Golf Club after seeing it slip away in 2022. Tilton had a bogey free final round of 65, 7-under par, to finish at 10-under par and held off Michael Nagy, an Assistant Professional from Planterra Club by two.

After an hour and 45 min suspension of play due to lightning and unplayable course conditions, Tilton had birdies on holes 6, 9, 10, and 11 to extend his lead to three. Nagy then birdied holes 14 & 15 to close the gap to only one. Tilton birdied the par 5 16th hole to lead by two with two to play. After two par’s on 17, Tilton saw himself in a familiar spot standing on the tee box of 18, where he hit a devastating driver just a year ago. “Not going to happen this year. I just hit three iron”, said Tilton after his two putt par to secure the Championship. He went on to say “I did hit driver in round 1 though to prove that I could.” Tilton cashed in $1,800 for 1st place.

GSGA Match Play Champion R.B. Clyburn of Cartersville earned low amateur honors with rounds of 69, 71 to finish at 4-under par, T6. Defending champion Hunter Clay, amateur out of Woodstock, finished at even-par, T11 and 2021 Champion Greg Edwards, Assistant Professional of East Lake Golf Club finished in 3rd after carding a 5-under final round, 6-under for the tournament.
