Mini-Tour professional Zach Caldwell of Alpharetta carded a third round 65 to seize the lead after the third round of the 69th Georgia Open presented by L&J Golf at Jennings Mill Country Club.

Caldwell is at 12-under par and is two strokes ahead of first and second round leader Jonathan Keppler of Marietta who carded a three-under par round of 69 and is 10-under par for the championship.  In solo third place is mini-tour professional Jared O’Kelley of Canton another shot back at 9-under par.

Defending champion Barrett Waters of Villa Rica carded a third round of 69 and is tied for 16th place at 1-over par.  The low amateur after 54 holes of competition is Ruan Pretorius of West Point, who is at 8-under par 208 and in solo 4th place.  Pretorius is a native of South Africa and plays collegiately at Point University.

Jennings Mill Country Club was designed by legendary golf architect Bob Cupp in 1986 and is a playing to a par 72 and 6926 yards for the championship.  Cupp succeeded in retaining the beauty of the area while building a course that is fun and challenging for golfers of all levels.  It has hosted Georgia PGA events, Nationwide Tour events, and many of the top amateur competitions in the state.
