The Inaugural Georgia Putting Championship was a big hit! The Championship was held at Bobby Jones Golf Course on the Dan Yates Putting Course on October 31st. The host of the ‘The Golf Show’ on 680 The Fan, Brian Katrek of Mableton, won the Open Division. Earlier he had competed with his son, Henry, in the Team Division and finished T7.
The Team Division Champions were Georgia PGA Member, Jon Cooley and Georgia PGA Executive Director, Scott Geary. Winning the Mixed Team Division were Madison Barnett and Jim Kamis.
The format consisted of two 9-hole rounds around the Dan Yates Putting Course at Bobby Jones Golf Course. This was a collaborative event between the tenants of Murray Golf House at Bobby Jones Golf Course, Georgia PGA, and the Georgia State Golf Association.

The Georgia State Golf Association (GSGA) serves as an Allied Golf Association to the United States Golf Association.
