Greg Edwards, Assistant Golf Professional at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta led wire-to-wire to win the fourth edition of the West Pines Classic supported by the City of Douglasville, contested at the City of Douglasville’s West Pines Golf Club.

Edwards, the Golf Pro Payments Georgia Open Runner-Up, finished with a two-day total of 11-under par 131 with rounds of 64-67 and defeated Jacob Tilton, PGA Teaching Professional of Ansley Golf Club who finished at 7-under par 135. The 2nd place finish for Tilton secured the season long Georgia PGA Player of the Year Race by only 15 points. Low Amateur honors went to 15 year old Charles Beeson of Roswell who finished T3 at 4-under par, 138.

For his efforts, Edwards earned the first-place check of $2,800. 2022 Champion, J.P. Griffin, PGA Teaching Professional finished at T9, even par, 142. The trio of host professionals, Matt Sanders, PGA Assistant Professional, Chad Thomas, Assistant Golf Professional, and Chris Cartwright, PGA Head Professional, finished 8th at 1-under par, T9 at even par, and T16 at 2-over par, respectively.
