Carli Huband Named 10th Trustee of PGA REACH Georgia

PGA REACH Georgia, the 501(c)(3) charitable foundation of the Georgia Section of the PGA of America, is proud to announce the appointment of Carli Huband as the 10th Trustee of its Trustee group, further strengthening the foundation’s leadership with her extensive experience in tax strategy, corporate governance, and community engagement.

Huband serves as Aprio’s National Specialty Tax Leader and co-leads the firm’s national R&D Tax Credit practice, advising companies ranging from early-stage startups to Fortune 100 organizations. With a deep understanding of complex tax law, she helps clients maximize savings, minimize risk, and create long-term value across a wide range of industries. Her areas of specialty include state and local tax credits and incentives, corporate restructuring, global tax compliance, M&A tax diligence, and audit defense.

In addition to her client work, Huband plays a key leadership role within Aprio, currently serving as Corporate Secretary for the firm’s Board of Directors following several years of board service, including during its first private equity transaction. She is also an active mentor within Aprio and the broader community.

“We’re excited to welcome Carli as our 10th Trustee,” said Scott Geary, CEO of the Georgia PGA and Executive Director of PGA REACH Georgia. “Her leadership, experience, and passion for community engagement make her a perfect fit for PGA REACH Georgia.”

Huband’s professional excellence has earned her recognition as a 40 Under 40 honoree by Roswell Magazine (2019) and the Atlanta Business Chronicle (2021). She is actively involved in several civic and professional organizations, including the State Bar of Georgia and the Young Presidents Organization (YPO), where she serves as Sponsorship Chair for the Atlanta Chapter. Her community involvement also includes board and leadership roles with the Woodruff Arts Center and Zoo Atlanta, along with past service with the Chattahoochee Nature Center and Grady Hospital Foundation.

“It’s an honor to join PGA REACH Georgia and support its mission of using golf to make a meaningful difference in communities across the state,” said Huband. “I’m inspired by the foundation’s impact and look forward to contributing to its continued growth and success.”

Huband earned her B.S. in English Literature from Vanderbilt University and her J.D. and Master of Taxation from Georgia State University.
